Where are my notes stored?

All notes are stored locally on your device. Notely does not use cloud storage or sync your data to any server.

Will I lose my notes if I delete the app?

Yes. Since all data is stored locally on your device, deleting the app will also delete your notes. We recommend backing up your device regularly through iCloud Backup or Finder/iTunes.

What paper templates are available?

Notely includes four templates: Plain (blank), Ruled (lined), Grid, and Dot. You can also enable Infinite Whiteboard mode for an unlimited canvas. Pages can be set to Letter or A4 sizes in portrait or landscape orientation.

What drawing tools are available?

Notely includes pen, pencil, and highlighter tools with adjustable color and width. There are also shape tools (line, rectangle, ellipse, parabola), a lasso selection tool, and both whole-stroke and partial eraser modes. Full Apple Pencil pressure sensitivity is supported.

Can I type text in Notely?

Yes. Notely includes a rich text editor with bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, headings, bullet points, numbered lists, checklists, and a font picker with adjustable size and color.

Can I import PDFs?

Yes. You can import PDF documents into Notely to annotate and mark up with all the same drawing and text tools.

Can I lock my notes?

Yes. You can lock individual notes with Face ID or a password to keep them private.

What are sticky notes?

Sticky notes are floating colored notes you can place anywhere on the canvas with customizable background and text colors.

Can I replay my drawings?

Yes. Drawing Replay lets you watch your work play back stroke by stroke with adjustable speed and a timeline scrubber.
